prime power overlap Claim: Practical Guide & FAQ

The official website of 8pl. This guide explains the mechanics, settlement rules and wallet behaviour of the original prime power overlap Claim demo. The demo uses a virtual wallet with no external account login. All rules and probabilities are derived from the implemented scoring rules described below.

How Scoring Works

The game consists of twelve independent binary steps that reveal three four-bit blocks. Each block is decoded as a value from 0 to 15, then incremented by 1 to produce integers a, b, and c (each ranging from 1 to 16).

The raw terminal statistic is calculated as the sum over primes of the minimum exponent found in the prime factorizations of a, b, and c. A global minimum of 0 is subtracted from this sum.

Before the round, you select a reward weight curve: linear, squared, or cubed. The live gross quote is calculated as 0.97 times the conditional expected terminal weight divided by the initial expected terminal weight. This quote may rise, fall, or become zero.

StepGross Quote

In the example where the mask is 0 (integers 1, 1, 1), the reward score is 0. The quote starts at 0.97, drops to ~0.92 at step 1, and first reaches 0 at step 4, when the completed first block gives a=1 and every remaining completion has zero reward.

This table uses the linear curve. Steps 6 and 12 are theoretical quotes after the round has already stopped at its first zero, step 4.

Staking, Modes and Auto-Collection

You can select stakes of 10, 20, 50, or 100 play coins (default is 20). Settings, restoration, and starting a new round are locked while a round is active.

Choose your reward weight (linear, squared, or cubed) before capturing your stake. You can also set an automatic collection threshold to off, 1.25, 1.75, or 2.50.

Automatic collection settles the round at the first crossing of the threshold. If a zero event occurs at the same step as an auto-cross, zero takes precedence. The process prioritizes prior crossed events over later crashes. The final step 12 collects the current quote if the round survives.

Settlement and Payout

Each round captures exactly one stake. At settlement, the floor of (raw gross return + stored fractional carry) is credited to your balance; any remainder persists in the fractional carry.

In rounds with zero return, the fractional carry remains unchanged. The expected RTP for each listed curve and stopping-policy combination is 97%, though measured returns vary slightly in simulation samples.

Multiply the captured stake by the settlement quote for the raw gross return, including the stake. Credited whole coins are floor(raw gross return + stored fractional carry); the remaining fraction persists.

Wallet, Restoration and Reloads

The demo wallet starts with a balance of 1000 virtual coins. Balance and fractional carry are stored in browser localStorage.

  • Restoration: You can manually restore the balance to exactly 1000 only when idle and the balance is below 10. This action sets the balance to 1000; it does not add coins on top of existing funds.
  • Fractional Carry: This persists across settlement, refill, and reload. Refilling the balance does not clear the fractional carry.
  • Reload: If you reload during an unfinished round, the captured stake remains deducted. The round ends without refund, payout, or continuation. Controls reset to default stake (20), linear curve and auto off on reload.

Privacy and Storage

The demo does not use an account login or payment flow. Virtual coins have no cash value. Storage is limited to browser localStorage for the balance and fractional carry. The page includes Google Fonts stylesheets and font files and an external Statinside usage counter. Clearing cached files may leave local storage intact unless specifically cleared.

Responsible Use

This guide has an 18+ intended audience. The demo does not clinically train behaviour or make losses safe. Choose breaks between rounds and personal time or virtual-coin stopping points outside the interface. No pause, enforced timer or self-exclusion tool is implemented. Find appropriate local qualified help if needed.

Frequently asked questions

Does the demo have an account or login?

No. The demo has no account login flow or payment flow. Virtual coins are stored locally in your browser and have no cash value.

How does fractional carry work?

Fractional carry persists in browser localStorage across settlement, refill, and reload. If a round pays zero, the carry remains unchanged. Refilling the balance does not clear it.

What happens if I reload the page during a round?

The captured stake remains deducted. The unfinished round ends without refund, payout, or continuation. Controls reset to the default stake of 20, linear curve and auto off upon reload.
